Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both attorneys. As a young girl of just five years old, she moved to Oxfordshire and attended an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma's goal was to be an actor. As a young girl of 6, she enrolled in the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch in which she was taught classes on singing, acting, and dancing. At the age of ten she was involved and played the leading role in several Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the film adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford Theater teacher. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight consecutive auditions. Emma's first film appearance came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The film is 2001's top grossing film, breaking records at the opening as well as the first weekend. The film was praised by critics who praised the film and particularly the young performers. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her excellent performance. Emma received the Young Artist Award as the most outstanding young actor in a feature Film. Emma was nominated five times for her performance in the movie.
